2 ounces of bourbon
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup
orange or lemon peel for garnish
Combine bourbon, lemon and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cover and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Strain and serve straight up or in a glass on the rocks.
