Our cooking demonstrations are 15-45 minutes depending on the recipe and group needs. Let us show you how to make a roux, a hurricane or bananas foster.

Menu/Experience:

Secrets of Roux & Gumbo
As a Louisiana kid, your first memories in the kitchen are standing on a chair and watching someone stir a roux. It is the first technique a Cajun or Creole cook must master, and the color and quality of your roux will be debated by diners enjoying your final dish. Take a journey through the steps from blonde, to peanut butter, to milk chocolate and dark chocolate roux with our chef and learn which color is right for your dish. Follow our tips and tricks and you’ll be a master of roux in no time.
